Umbrella fabric classification

There are three main kinds of cloth for umbrellas, and the cost is from low to high: polyester, PG cloth, nylon, transparent plastic.

Silky

The characteristics of silk cloth are: the color is more gorgeous, after the umbrella fabric is rubbed on the hand, the crease is obvious, and it is not easy to restore. When the fabric is rubbed, it will feel resistance, and there will be a rustling sound when rubbing. Coating a layer of silver glue on polyester, which is what we usually call silver glue umbrella, silver adhesive cloth anti-ultraviolet function is better, but after a long time of use, the folded place silver glue is easy to detach. Coating a layer of silver powder on polyester, which is what we usually call pearlescent cloth umbrellas, the color of pearlescent cloth is more gorgeous, deeply loved by women, but the anti-sun ultraviolet effect is not ideal.

PG cloth

PG cloth is also called impact cloth, high-density impact cloth is a new type of cloth. PG has the following characteristics: the color is matte, dark. The cloth feels like cotton cloth, the light resistance is better, the cost of PG cloth is relatively high, but the anti-ultraviolet function, the stability of the quality, the grade of the color are more ideal, is a better umbrella cloth, generally PG cloth is only used in high-grade umbrellas.

nylon

Nylon cloth is also a high-end variety of umbrella fabric, this rain cloth has a bright color, the feeling on the hand is like silk, rubbing back and forth with the hand, the resistance is very small. However, this kind of cloth has a weakness, which is greatly affected by air humidity, and the shrinkage of the umbrella cloth is more serious, and sometimes even affects the normal opening and closing of the umbrella surface. So among the umbrella fabrics we commonly use, there are not particularly many.

Clear plastic

In recent years, the transparent umbrella has become popular, and its umbrella surface is made of POE or PVC plastic, and some also have various patterns and colors.

Vinyl layer fabric

Compared with other umbrella fabrics, vinyl layer fabrics have the following advantages: 1. Not easy to age, silver rubber fabrics are easy to cause the coating to age and fall off after long-term use;

2. Cooling, parasols made of vinyl layer fabric can effectively cool down 3-5 °C in the sun;

3. Super anti-ultraviolet, the parasol on the market due to the black coating process or fabric quality is different, its real anti-ultraviolet performance is also different, the more convenient inspection method is: use the flash flashlight on the mobile phone, in the dark use of the umbrella fabric close to the flash, to see if there is light leakage.
